Japan Ambassador Hosts Reception in Pakistan to Celebrate Emperor Naruhito’s 64th Birthday

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan WADA Mitsuhiro on Thursday hosted a reception to honor the 64th Birthday of Emperor Naruhito.

The event held in Islamabad was graced by the presence of Jamal Shah, the Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, who attended as the chief guest.

The reception was attended by Ministers, Parliamentarians, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic community and other dignitaries from the public and private sectors.

During the celebration, Ambassador WADA and distinguished guests participated in cutting a cake to commemorate the upcoming birthday of the Emperor, slated for February 23rd.

Since ascending to the throne on May 1st, 2019, as the 126th Emperor of Japan, Emperor Naruhito has symbolized the unity of Japan and its people. The Imperial Family has played a crucial role in fostering positive relations with foreign nations, including Pakistan.

Ambassador WADA, in his welcoming address, expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Pakistan for their heartfelt wishes on the occasion of Emperor’s 64th birthday. He also commended the enduring friendship between Japan and Pakistan, acknowledging the significant contributions made by individuals, businesses, and officials in strengthening bilateral ties over the years.
