ISLAMABAD: Defending champions Islamabad United have secured the services of New Zealand’s James Neesham and England’s Tymal Mills for the remaining fixtures of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, set to take place from 17 to 25 May.

The franchise made the announcement via its social media platforms, though it did not disclose which players Neesham and Mills would be replacing.

“James Neesham and Tymal Mills join Islamabad United for the remainder of HBLPSLX,” the club stated.

Experienced players

Both players are no strangers to the PSL. Neesham featured in the 2023 edition for Peshawar Zalmi, while Mills has participated in five seasons, turning out for Quetta Gladiators twice, and also representing Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, and the 2017 title winners.

The newly-recruited pair will join up with England’s Alex Hales and South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, who were announced as signings on Wednesday, along with Ben Dwarshuis, who confirmed his availability for the rest of the tournament earlier in the day.

Islamabad United, three-time winners of the PSL, are currently third in the standings with 10 points from nine matches. Their final league-stage game is scheduled for 19 May against Karachi Kings at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
