Jahangir Khan Tareen Steps Down as IPP Chairman, Quits Politics

ISLAMABAD: In a surprising move, Jahangir Khan Tareen, the prominent political figure and head of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), has announced his resignation from both the chairmanship of the party and from active involvement in politics.

Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Tareen expressed gratitude to his supporters and extended congratulations to his opponents on their electoral success. He stated, “I have immense respect for the will of the people of Pakistan. Therefore, I have decided to resign from my position as Chairman IPP and step away from politics altogether.”

Acknowledging the importance of respecting the wishes of the Pakistani electorate, Tareen announced his decision to withdraw from the political arena. He thanked all members of the IPP and wished them well in their future endeavors.

Tareen expressed his commitment to continue serving his country to the best of his ability in a private capacity, expressing hope for Pakistan’s prosperity in the years to come.
