YAMOUSSOUKRO: Ivory Coast’s President Alassane Ouattara has dismissed Prime Minister Patrick Achi and dissolved the government, a presidential decree stated on Friday.
“Patrick Achi is no longer PM as of this Friday, October 6th,” according to an announcement read out on Radio et Television Ivoirienne of the African country.

Patrick Achi and the outgoing government will remain in charge provisionally until a new Prime Minister is appointed and a new government is constituted, Abdourahlane Cisse, secretary general of the presidency, told journalists.
Alassane Ouattara expressed “his gratitude for their pledge to the service of the country in recent years,” Cisse stated.
Patrick Achi has been the prime minister of the African country since March 2021, and was also reappointed in April 2022.
