IUB Seminar Highlights Women’s Health Issues

BAHAWALPUR: The Directorate of Women’s Health Care Center and Maternity Home at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), in collaboration with the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, organized a seminar aimed at raising awareness about women’s health issues.

The event was graced by the presence of the wife of the Commissioner of Bahawalpur Division, who inaugurated the Women’s Healthcare Center and Maternity Home.

Distinguished figures in attendance included Prof. Dr. Shazia Anjum, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences; Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences; Prof. Dr. Iqbal, Chairman; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Chairman of the Department of Psychology; Dr. Sheikh Safina Siddique, Director of the Women’s Healthcare Center and Maternity Home; Dr. Samina Ejaz, Additional Director; Dr. Maryam Iftikhar, In-charge of the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics; Dr. Amna Noor; Dr. Zarmina; Dr. Shema; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Azhar Khan; and Dr. Nazir Azhar, Consultant Gynecologist.

During the seminar, Dr. Sheikh Safina Siddique and Dr. Maryam Iftikhar inspected nutrition stalls set up by students from the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics. In the scientific session, informative presentations were delivered by Additional Director Dr. Samina Ejaz, Dr. Muhammad Ishaq, Dr. Sheikh Safina Siddique, Dr. Gul Rana Ahmed, Dr. Zainab Malik, and Dr. Maryam Iftikhar.
