BISHKEK: The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) said that it is ready to facilitate the development of business links between entrepreneurs from Italy and Kyrgyzstan, Matteo Zoppas, head of the ITA, said on Monday.
He made these remarks during a meeting with Taalai Bazarbaev, the envoy of Kyrgyzstan to Italy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said. During the talks, Zoppas noted the active interaction between the Kyrgyz side and the ITA.
On the occasion, Bazarbaev presented Zoppas with promising cooperation in several projects in the light industry, agriculture, renewable energy sources, as well as the production and export of bottled water to Kyrgyzstan.
He also proposed leading an Italian business delegation to visit Kyrgyzstan in the current year to participate in upcoming major exhibition events. The State Statistical Agency of Kyrgyzstan said that the trade turnover with Italy amounted to 90.729 million in 2023, which is around 92.9 percent.
