ISTANBUL: The World Halal Summit and Halal Expo, set to take place next month in Istanbul, aim to build new bridges for trade and commercial diplomacy through country business forums and business-to-business (B2B) meetings.

According to Anadolu, the four-day event, organized under the patronage of the Turkish Presidency and in partnership with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will be held at the Istanbul Fair Center from Nov. 26–29.

Expanding Global Market Access

B2B meetings will offer small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) a vital opportunity to enter global markets by promoting their products, expanding export networks, and accelerating branding processes. Country business forums will also help attract direct foreign investment by highlighting national success stories and investment potential, while fostering long-term economic and technological cooperation.

The event will host country business forums for Oman, Yemen, Tunisia, and Palestine, with high-level participation from each nation. These forums aim to enhance mutual trade, promote technology transfer, and support joint projects in key sectors such as health, tourism, energy, digital transformation, agriculture, and construction — reinforcing the region’s innovation capacity and competitive edge.

Strengthening Economic Diplomacy

World Halal Summit Council President Yunus Ete said the 11th edition will feature “important opportunities” through productive meetings and partnerships. “In cooperation with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye’s (DEIK) Türkiye-Oman Business Council and the Oman Chamber of Commerce, we will hold the first leg of the Türkiye-Oman Business Forum,” he said. Ete added that similar initiatives with Yemen, Palestine, and Tunisia would “reveal new potentials in trade,” emphasizing that the platforms help reinforce trust, visibility, and brand value for participating countries.
