Israelis Kill Six Palestinians in West Bank Attack

RAMALLAH: Israeli forces killed six Palestinians on Friday in an attack on a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry stated.

The Health Ministry said a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old were also among the killed people in the occupied West Bank. It maintained they have been killed “by bullets from the occupation Israeli forces in the Al-Fara refugee camp.”

“Clashes intensified with the (Israeli) troops who attacked the camp amid intense fire and … blasts,” the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. Inhabitants of the camp assembled for funeral prayers on Friday morning. Violence has increased in the territory since the outbreak of the war between Hamas and Israel in Gaza.

Earlier, on Wednesday, the Palestinian Health Ministry stated that four Palestinian people, two of them teenagers, were killed in multiple Israeli attacks in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian officials say Israeli fire and settler assaults in the occupied West Bank have killed about 263 Palestinian people since the Hamas- Israel war started.

Earlier, 14 Palestinian people were killed in an Israeli attack in the city of Jenin, Palestinian health ministry said.

Meanwhile, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called for an immediate end to the ongoing war in Gaza and a global peace conference to work out a permanent political settlement leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state, Western media reported on Friday.

In an interview with Reuters, he said the war between Palestinians and Israel in general had reached an alarming phase that needs a global conference and guarantees by international powers.
