ISLAMABAD: At least 29 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn on Thursday, and there are reports of new attacks and casualties, Al-Jazeera reported.
Al Jazeera cited medical sources as saying that at least 13 have been killed in Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip since Friday’s dawn.
In the south, east of Khan Younis, at least 10 people were killed, including seven children, in an Israeli strike, it added. Also in the enclave’s south, one Palestinian was killed and four others were wounded following an aerial attack on a group of civilians in Rafah, it maintained.
And in the north of the Strip, Al Jazeera reported that two people were killed and others injured in an Israeli bombardment in the al-Atatra area of Beit Lahiya. The wounded were transferred to the Indonesian Hospital, while doctors described the condition of some of them as critical.
“Members of the same family”
AFP reported that Gaza’s civil defence agency said that a pre-dawn Israeli air strike on Friday killed 10 members of the same family, including seven children, in the southern city of Khan Yunis.
“Ten people, including seven children, were brought to the hospital as martyrs following an Israeli air strike that targeted the al-Farra family home in central Khan Yunis,” AFP cited agency spokesperson Mahmud Bassal as saying.
Witnesses reported continuous and intensive Israeli tank fire in Khan Yunis.
The civil defence agency also reported two people killed in an Israeli strike that targeted a group of civilians in the Al-Atatra area in the northern city of Beit Lahia, AFP reported.
World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has warned of more disease and deaths due to Israel’s blockade of aid entering into Gaza where over 10,000 people need medical evacuation abroad.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said that at least 50,886 Palestinians are confirmed dead and 115,875 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza.
