DAMASCUS: Two civilians were killed in an Israeli air strike in Syria, state media reported on Tuesday. It was the fourth such strike on government-controlled areas of the war hit country in less than one week.

Military sources told the state-run news agency SANA “at 00:15 the Israeli enemy conducted an air strike… and the assault resulted in the death of 2 civilians,”.
The news agency said that the air strike came from the occupied Golan, targeting several points in the neighborhood of Damascus and the southern area,”, saying that air defense system intercepted most of the missiles.
During the civil war in Syria, Israel had launched hundreds of strikes on Syria. State-run media had earlier reported “blast heard in the vicinity of the Syrian capital.”
