ISLAMABAD/JERUSALEM: An Israeli settler shot dead a Palestinian person who the Israeli army claimed was armed with knives and explosive devices on Friday near the city in the northern occupied West Bank.
According to media reports, the Israeli troops also raided a town near the main Palestinian city of Ramallah overnight and opened fire on a crowd, targeting one person, without specifying whether they were killed or wounded.
Tussle in the West Bank has been surging for months, with the near-daily armed forces raids and escalating settler violence in the West Bank.

Palestinian officials confirmed a man was killed by an Israeli settler near the city of Qalqilya on Friday but didn’t immediately note any casualties from the raid in Ni’lin. Relatives of the person killed told Reuters that the Israeli military was still withholding his dead body.
