Israeli Forces Shot Dead Palestinian in West Bank

RAMALLAH: Israeli military brutally shot dead a Palestinian in a raid on a West Bank refugee camp, the Palestinian health ministry said on Tuesday, as violence in the occupied territory shows no recession.

The ministry said twenty-one-year-old Ayed Samih Khaled was shot by live occupation (Israeli) bullets fired to the head in the Nur Shams camp close to the northern town of Tulkarem.

The victim was identified as a member of its armed wing, the Al-Quds Brigade.

Israeli forces said that there was an exchange of fire with several individuals during the raid.

A camp resident said that clashes started soon after the incursion began at around midnight (2100 GMT Monday).

Israeli Forces Destroy Roads

The resident said the Israeli military had come with bulldozers to destroy some roads in the camp.

While the military said it targeted a building that contained multiple ready-to-use explosive devices, and a bomb exploded during the raid.
