RAMALLAH: Israeli forces killed a Palestinian youth during an overnight raid in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian health ministry and official media.
The firing incident occurred in Qalqilya, West Bank, where the military confirmed it had conducted a “counter-terrorism operation”.
Israeli troops had stormed the Naqar area in the west of Qalqilya, which resulted in the clashes, AFP reported citing Palestinian media.
The Israeli military fired stun grenades, live and rubber bullets, and tear gas at Palestinians and their homes.
Palestinian Health Ministry
The Palestinian health ministry identified the dead youth as Fares Abu Samrah, aged 14, and said he died of bullet injuries to the head. The military said it was reviewing the incident.
