NABLUS: A Palestinian man was shot dead by the Israeli military on Monday in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent said in a statement.
It said that a citizen was killed by Israeli military bullets in Askar camp, east of Nablus.
The Palestinian citizen died after he was shifted to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus.
Another person was wounded but is in stable condition.
Clashes between Israeli military and Palestinians
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu news agency that clashes erupted between dozens of Palestinians and the Israeli military as the latter attacked Askar camp, using gas bombs and live bullets.
Tensions have risen in the occupied West Bank amid repeated Israeli attacks on Palestinian towns in recent months.
Israeli troops raid Palestinian territories nearly daily, mostly under the pretext of looking for wanted Palestinians.
