GAZA: The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in Gaza confirmed last night that the Israeli forces completely destroyed 604 mosques and 200 were partially damaged in addition to three churches as a result of the continuous aggression on the besieged Palestinian enclave.
According to statements released last night, the Ministry confirmed that Israeli forces have completely demolished 604 mosques and partially damaged 200 others, along with three churches, as a result of the relentless attacks on Gaza.
The Palestinian Information Center cited the Ministry’s statement, revealing that the enemy targeted 60 cemeteries across all governorates of the Gaza Strip. Shockingly, it was reported that over 1,000 bodies, including those of the dead and martyrs brutally killed, were exhumed and stolen.
Furthermore, the Israeli forces have razed 15 headquarters belonging to the Ministry, including its main headquarters, the Holy Quran Radio headquarters, and various educational and religious institutions.
Tragically, the Ministry disclosed that 91 of its employees and preachers have been killed since the commencement of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The Ministry of Awqaf held the Israeli forces and its supporters, notably the United States of America, fully responsible for these heinous acts targeting mosques, worship places, civilians, and the elderly, terming it a war of genocide.
Urgent calls were made to the international community, UN organizations, and Islamic institutions to intervene and take immediate action to halt the war of genocide and hold the enemy accountable for its atrocities against unarmed civilians and religious sites.
The ongoing aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in the killing of at least 35,332 Palestinians, mostly children and women.
