BEIRUT: At least 3 Lebanese security personnel were wounded Friday by Israeli shooting in southern Lebanon, medical sources stated, while the Lebanese military reported no casualties in a second strike on a hospital. According to AP, Hezbollah group announced the death of four of its men on Friday.
“Israeli artillery fire targeted the locality of a Lebanese military post in Ras el-Naqura, injuring 3 soldiers,” a medical source told the media.
Three Lebanese Soldiers Injured
Earlier, on Tuesday, two persons, including a Lebanese personnel, were killed in Israeli cross-border attack— the first among Lebanese solider to be killed since the start of daily exchanges of fire on the border between Hezbollah and Israel. In a statement, the Israeli army admitted the attack.
Some media reports suggest that the Lebanese army, deployed to the bordering region, reported a second strike on Friday.
“The army hospital in the town of Ain Ebel was attacked by the Israeli enemy, causing physical damage but no casualties,” Lebanese army said in a statement.

Regular cross-border fire started following the start of the Hamas-Israel war, triggered by surprise October 7 assault on Israel. Since October 7, at least 120 people in Lebanon including three journalists were killed in the cross-border attacks.
