TEHRAN: Israeli state media confirmed on Saturday that the death toll from the ongoing conflict reached 600, with over 2,000 Israelis injured since the launch of the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation by Palestinian Resistance fighters.
The Israeli regime’s military responded to the crisis with a massive mobilization of forces, calling up large numbers of reservists and intensifying preparations for what appears to be an impending war. The conflict escalated dramatically yesterday when the Palestinian Resistance, notably Hamas, launched a surprise large-scale attack, leading to a swift and devastating response from both sides.
Israeli sources have reported that 359 Israelis have been confirmed dead, while over 2,048 others have sustained injuries. Additionally, dozens of individuals were reportedly taken hostage by the Hamas Resistance group and transported across the border into the Gaza Strip. Israel’s Channel 13, however, has stated that the number of casualties has risen to 600, encompassing both military personnel and civilians.
The situation has led to widespread disruptions, including the cancellation of dozens of flights to Tel Aviv by major airlines. The attacks by the Palestinian Resistance have triggered barrages of rockets, forcing hundreds of thousands of Israelis to seek shelter. Despite the deployment of the Iron Dome defense system, some rockets have evaded interception, causing serious injuries in towns across southern and central Israel.
Reports suggest that 750 Israelis have gone missing since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation.
