Israeli Opposition Leader Condemns Benjamin Netanyahu’s Government

Meanwhile, Israeli opposition leader Yair Golan has strongly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, calling it a “zero government” in the wake of a missile strike from Yemen that struck near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv early Sunday morning.

The strike resulted in injuries to nine people and highlighted the current security and governance challenges facing the country.

In a statement on X, Golan, who leads the Labor Party, strongly denounced the Netanyahu’s administration for its handling of national security and domestic affairs. He also characterized the government’s approach as leading Israel into an “endless war,” alleging it of failing to resolve conflicts effectively and instead exacerbating the situation.

Golan asked people to engage in daily protests to exert pressure on Netanyahu’s government, asserting that only continuous pressure will bring down this government.

The missile strike, which targeted the Tel Aviv, caused significant disruption as well as damage. Debris from interceptor missiles fell on a train station in central Israel, leading to property damages and creating risky conditions.
