LONDON: The Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza has witnessed a devastating Israeli attack that resulted in the tragic loss of more than 50 members of the Qadoura family, according to Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki.
Al-Maliki revealed this shocking development on the sidelines of a briefing attended by Arab and Muslim foreign ministers in London.
“Only this morning, from the Qadoura family in Jabalia, 52 people have been killed” al-Maliki stated. He further emphasized that the victims spanned across generations, from grandparents to grandchildren. The gravity of the situation highlights the profound impact of the ongoing conflict on innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
Over 14,000 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Attacks in Gaza
The tragic incident comes amid the relentless Israeli bombardments and ground invasion in Gaza, where fighting has persisted for weeks, resulting in deaths of more than 14,000 Palestinians and widespread devastation in Gaza.
In a separate development, there is a glimmer of hope as Israel’s government and Hamas recently agreed to a four-day pause in fighting. The temporary ceasefire aims to facilitate the release of 50 hostages held in Gaza, exchanged for 150 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel. Additionally, the agreement allows for the entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.
