GAZA: Gaza’s civil defence agency has said that an Israeli attack hit a house in Gaza City on Saturday morning and killed 11 members of a single family, including children and women.
The agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal said that they have recovered the bodies of 11 martyrs, including three women and four children, after an Israeli air strike hit the house of the Bustan family in Gaza City. The attack took place near the Shujaiya school in the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood of Gaza City, he added.
Bassal maintained that rescuers are still working to search for the missing. Bassal stated that Israeli troops carried out similar attacks in some other areas of Gaza overnight, killing about 10 people.
He added that five people were killed in northwestern Gaza City when an air strike targeted a group of people near Dar Al-Arqam school.

Three others people were killed in a strike in the Al-Mawasi region of the southern Khan Yunis governorate, where tens of thousands of displaced Palestinian people have sought shelter, according to Bassal.

Israel’s brutal military campaign has so far killed more than 41,118 people in the Gaza Strip, according to Gaza’s health ministry. According to the UN human rights office, most of the dead have been children or women.
Earlier, the UN chief Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the latest Israeli attack on a school serving as a shelter in Gaza, killing around six staffers from the UN Palestine refugee agency, UNRWA, along with 12 others, including children and women.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Guterres has termed the continued lack of effective protection for Palestinians in Gaza during the current Israel war in the besieged enclave as “unconscionable”.
