TEL AVIV: Israel’s army said on Thursday that fighter jets struck the residence of the leader of the Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.
The Israeli army stated that Haniyeh’s residence was used as a hub for terrorist activities, serving as a meeting point for senior Hamas leaders to direct attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers. In addition, during the operation in the Al-Shati camp, Israeli troops uncovered and destroyed a weapons cache belonging to Hamas’s naval forces, containing diving gear, explosive devices, and weapons.
The Israeli army also said its troops “struck terrorists and located weapons including explosive belts, explosive barrels, RPGs, anti-tank missiles, comms equipment, and intelligence documents.”
Hamas did not immediately comment on the Israeli allegations.
Furthermore, the Israeli military conducted a targeted operation into Al-Shifa hospital.
Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Thursday that Israeli forces raided Al-Shifa hospital for the second time within twenty-four hours. Local sources mentioned that Israeli bulldozers and tanks raided the medical complex from its western entrance overnight, while Israeli tanks have been surrounding Al-Shifa hospital with military tanks for the past week.
