JERUSALEM: Israeli forces retaliated with artillery fire into southern Lebanon on Sunday following an anti-tank missile attack near the border, an Israeli army spokesman said. The incident occurred near the village of Dovev, approximately half a mile (800 meters) from the Lebanon-Israel frontier.

The Israeli army confirmed that “a number of civilians were wounded” in the anti-tank missile strike, and in response, artillery was directed at the source of the missile launch.

Additionally, overnight, a drone targeted another group in Lebanon, attempting to launch an anti-tank missile toward Israel.

Since October 7, Israel has been involved in daily exchanges of fire with resistance groups in southern Lebanon.

Israeli leaders have cautioned Hezbollah against launching a full-scale attack, warning of potential consequences similar to those faced by Gaza.

In 2006, Israel and Hezbollah engaged in a month-long war in southern Lebanon.
