DAMASCUS: Israeli air strikes on Wednesday killed two Syrian troops and injured six others on Syria’s west coast, official media, citing a military source.
“At exactly 17:22 this afternoon, the Israeli enemy conducted strikes… from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, hitting some of our air defence sites in Tartus,” SANA cited the source as saying.
The official news agency further reported, “The aggression led to the death of two personnel and injured six others,”.

AFP reported that during more than ten years of war in Syria, Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes on its soil, primarily targeting Syrian army positions.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor also confirmed air strikes on Wednesday. Israel hardly comments on attacks it conducts on targets in Syria.
