WASHINGTON: A recent report by Israel Hayom has revealed the extensive scale of US military assistance to Israel since the start of the Israeli-imposed war on Gaza, which has so far left 40473 Palestinians-mostly women and children, dead.
According to the report, the United States has been providing a wide range of weapons and equipment to Israel through a continuous air and sea supply operation.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military campaign against Gaza, over 50,000 tons of military equipment have been delivered via 500 flights and 107 sea shipments.
The deliveries have included armored vehicles, ammunition, personal protective gear, and medical supplies. The Israeli Ministry of Defense highlighted the scale of this operation by announcing that the 500th flight in the airlift landed in Israel over the weekend.
In addition to these shipments, the US has recently sanctioned a major arms deal for Israel, including advanced F-15EX fighter jets. These jets are among the most advanced in the world and are expected to enhance the Israeli Air Force’s regional dominance.
This extensive support comes amidst ongoing Israeli bombardments of Gaza and other regional conflicts, potentially escalating tensions further.
In June, Israel formalized an agreement to purchase 25 F-35 fighter jets from the US for $3 billion. Additionally, in April, President Joe Biden approved a significant $26.4 billion aid package for Israel, including $14 billion earmarked specifically for military assistance.
A March report by the Washington Post revealed that the US has authorized over 100 arms sales to Israel since the Gaza offensive began, providing thousands of precision-guided munitions, bunker-busting bombs, and other lethal aid.
