GAZA: At least eight Palestinian journalists have lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, Arab media reported on Tuesday.
Palestinian Press Union in a statement said four journalists were killed in Israeli attacks the on Tuesday bringing the total number of deaths of Palestinian journalists to eight in the recent conflict.
The Gaza journalists earlier had announced the killing of three journalists in the Gaza Strip in the ongoing Israeli war.
The chief of Gaza’s Hamas government media office, Salameh Maarouf, said that the journalists were killed in a strike while covering the evacuation of a residential building near Gaza fishing port.
He strongly condemned Israel’s criminal behavior against journalists.

Later Tuesday, the press union said the head of its committee of women journalists, Salam Khalil, her husband and children were killed in the northern Gaza Strip in Israeli bombing.
The media office in a statement said another Journalist Asad Shamlakh was killed on Sunday while two cameramen were missing and 10 journalists have been injured.
According to the Palestinian Committee to Protect Journalists three reporters were killed on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the Israeli bombings on civilian areas of Gaza has raised to 770 on Tuesday.
Palestinian Health Ministry reported that over 4,000 Palestinians have sustained injuries as a result of the Israeli bombardment on Gaza in retaliation for the Palestinian Hamas group launching Operation Al Aqsa Flood against Israel early Saturday to regain its occupied areas.
