GAZA CITY: The Israeli military has issued evacuation orders for residents in northern and southern neighborhoods of Gaza amidst intensifying Israeli violence. Israel has intensified airstrikes and ground operation after the expiry of the Gaza ceasefire. Israeli shells also struck southern Lebanon in a second day of violence.
An Israeli military spokesperson, posted a series of messages on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), with annotated maps in Arabic, directing the Palestinian residents in several neighborhoods, including Jabalia and Shujaiya, to evacuate to different areas.
The spokesperson specifically highlighted Bani Suhaila near Khan Younis, instructing residents to seek shelters in Rafah, near the Egyptian border, an area that has witnessed extensive bombing since the ceasefire ended on Friday.

Dr. Ashraf Al Qudra, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, expressed concern over the impact of Israeli bombings, noting that the majority of the victims are women and children. He observed deformities on the bodies of some casualties, emphasizing the Israeli military’s apparent aim to disrupt the health system in northern Gaza.
Over 15,207 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Attacks in Gaza
The death toll in Gaza has surged to 15,207, according to the latest update from the Gaza Health Ministry, following the resumption of hostilities. Additionally, the ministry reported that 40,000 people have been wounded in the attacks. It warned of the imminent risk of further deaths among the wounded due to the limited treatment options in Gaza hospitals.
The developments coincide with Israel’s decision to recall its Mossad negotiating team from Doha, citing an “impasse” in the negotiations. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office stated that Hamas had not fulfilled its part of the agreement, which included the release of all children and women as per an approved list.
