ISLAMABAD: The Deputy Ambassador of Palestine in Pakistan, Nader Al-Turk, while talking with WE News, commented on the recent conflict between Palestine and Israel, said that the recent war has severely damaged Israel’s image as a superpower in the region. While Israel perceives itself as having the strength to challenge all Middle Eastern countries, a small group with no modern weapons has proven that Israel with all its might is nothing but a hoax.

He mentioned that Palestinian freedom fighters begun an advance into Israel last Saturday morning, which was a response to Israeli forces’ criminal actions against Palestinian civilians. Given that Israeli forces regularly attack the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the first Qibla, this military action was termed the “Al-Aqsa Flood.”

He further stated that the recent war has resulted in significant loss of human lives. It is the result of international support for Israel’s extremist ideology, its inhumane actions against Palestinians, refusal to accept two-state solutions, and backing from Western countries and international society. Israel uses its power to suppress, occupy, and commit crimes against Palestinians, leading to this violence and bloodshed.

Nader Al-Turk expressed his respect for Palestinian humanity but pointed out that the loss of human lives in the recent conflict is due to Israel’s extremist government, its inhuman acts, its refusal to accept international resolutions, and the support it receives from Western and international societies, which encourage its use of force against Palestinians.

“Israeli forces are currently targeting only civilians,” said the Palestinian Deputy Ambassador. He explained that they are attacking women, children, and the elderly, as well as civilian populations and hospitals. They are attempting to destroy everything in Gaza in retaliation. This time, they have suffered significant losses and aim to inflict as much damage as possible on Palestinians. Their actions aim to create an atmosphere of terror and intimidation.

Nader Al-Turk stated that Israel has failed as a formidable military power and that its intelligence system has also been severely disrupted. Their technology has failed because any attempt to breach the siege around Gaza sets off alarms. They have failed in everything they prided themselves on. He added that in his opinion, Israel’s image has been permanently tarnished, and now we await freedom.

He lamented the silence of the international community and their double standards, which have encouraged Israel to disregard international laws of security and equality. Their actions, including the use of force against Palestinians are supported by the silence of Western countries and the international community.

He expressed his gratitude for Pakistan’s people, political parties, and leadership for their generous support of the Palestinian cause. They have always upheld the vision of the founding leader regarding Palestine. He acknowledged the support provided by the founding leader and subsequent leaders in continuing this vision.

Nader Al-Turk stated that even if all countries recognize Israel, it will not bring stability to the region until they accept a two-state solution and end the occupation. The displaced Palestinians must return to their lands, and without these steps, there will be no peace. Palestinians who were forcibly removed from their lands should accept these measures as peace cannot be achieved through violence.

The Palestinian Deputy Ambassador said, “I am very hopeful, and we have paid a high price in this war, as always. The difference this time is that Israel is suffering losses similar to ours, with 900 of their soldiers killed. So far, 4,000 Palestinians are injured, while 3,000 Israelis are also injured. Perhaps for the first time, the casualty figures on both sides are similar. We do not rejoice in the enemy’s casualties, and our message to the world is only one and that is peace”
