Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor recounted the historical events and highlighted how Pakistan defeated India during the 1965 war. He emphasized that on this day, the nation paid homage to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives to protect their homeland when India attacked without prior warning or a declaration of war.
Furthermore, the Vice Chancellor encouraged the students, emphasizing that they, too, were the soldiers of the nation, capable of serving their country with their skills and talents, particularly in aiding the less fortunate.
Prof. Dr. Laghari, along with other dignitaries, staff members, and students, concluded the observance with a collective ‘Dua’ (prayer) for the safety and security of Pakistan, our beloved motherland.
