RAWALPINDI: The military has expressed its strong reaction over what it termed a malicious campaign against Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
In a statement on Sunday, the ISPR said, “Misleading data pertaining to the assets of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and family was shared on social media “. it said these misleading figures are exaggerated, based on assumptions.
According to the ISPR, a special group has very cleverly and dishonestly attributed the assets of General Bajwa’s daughter-in-law’s father (Samadhi) and family to the Army Chief and the family. “It is being given a completely false impression that these assets were created by the family of Army Chief General Bajwa during his six-year tenure.” The statement issued by ISPR further stated that “All assets of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, his wife, and family are regularly declared in FBR. Army chief and family file tax return regularly, the statement added.
