KABUL: In a recent ceremony celebrating the outstanding achievements of the 1402 Kankor exam’s top scorers, the acting head of the National Examination Authority, Abdul Baqi Haqqani, shed light on the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to improving educational opportunities for the nation’s youth.
Mr. Haqqani emphasized that, in contrast to any previous era, the Islamic Emirate has made remarkable strides in advancing both religious and contemporary education within the country. He expressed his optimism for the future, stating, Today, Alhamdulillah, with the officials of the Islamic Emirate, there is such a view that these young people will be the future of our country, and these young people will take Afghanistan out of the current crisis.
The gathering received praise and support from Mohammad Faqiri, deputy of the Vice and Virtue Ministry, who commended the students for their hard work, remarking, The meeting is very useful, and it is a good initiative. Congratulations to all of you. This was the result of your efforts, and God granted you this position.
Highlighting the importance of employment opportunities for the nation’s youth, the Deputy Minister of Interior, Mohammad Nabi Omari, assured attendees that the Islamic Emirate is dedicated to assisting students in securing job opportunities. He stated I assure you that the Islamic Emirate will support students in any way possible and provide them with the opportunity to work.
Meanwhile, the top Kankor exam performers voiced their aspirations for a more inclusive educational environment accessible to all citizens. They also appealed for assistance in the form of scholarships. Mahmmod, the student who secured the highest score in the Kankor exam, noted the challenges faced by students, saying, At the moment, the situation in the country is such that our government has not said it is against education, but the situation is such that education is not available for everyone. We hope that the opportunity will be provided as soon as possible.
It is worth noting that no female students participated in the entrance exam, highlighting the ongoing challenges in ensuring equal educational opportunities for all segments of society.
