By revoking the region’s special status and making attempts to divide it into different parts, India sought to obliterate the special identity of Kashmiris and dismantle the freedom movement.

Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Rao Imran Habib, Chairperson of the Department of Pakistan Studies, Dr. Rubina Yasmin, and other educators underlined the strong emotional connection between Pakistanis and Kashmiris. Quaid-e-Azam’s statement that Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan was recalled, with the hope that the day when Kashmiris breathe the air of freedom is drawing near. A special rally, organized by the Directorate of Students Affairs at Abbasia Campus, saw significant participation from both teachers and students as they expressed their solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
