Islamabad’s Support Vital for Kashmiri Self-determination: Kashmiri Leader

ISLAMABAD: Senior Hurriyat Leader Imtiaz Wani has stressed that New Delhi’s substantial military presence in Indian Occupied Kashmir has not deterred the people of Kashmir from pursuing their legal right to self-determination, local media reported.

He pledged to persist in the freedom fight, thanking Islamabad for its unconditional support, adding, Islamabad’s firm support has been a beacon of hope for Kashmiris in their relentless quest for self-determination.

He said that the people of Kashmir are thankful to the government of Pakistan, and its nation for an absolute support to the Kashmir cause,”. He appreciated that the Pakistan had very effectively highlighted the issue of Kashmir at international forums.

He said that yesterday’s resolution approved by National Assembly of Pakistan is another proof of this firm support by Islamabad in advocacy of Kashmir people.

Wani added that Pakistan always advocated the Kashmir issue at international level, adding, it is Pakistan that always invited India to come to the table to resolve the Kashmir dispute through talks but India never replied in a positive way. There are tens of resolutions on dispute of Kashmir that are pending on the UN Charter.”

He further stated that India has deputed a huge force in Indian Occupied Kashmir and despite the worst slaughters the people of Kashmir are continuing their struggle to get their right of plebiscite.
