Islamabad’s Hospitals on High Alert

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of National Health Services on Friday directed all the hospitals in Islamabad to remain on high alert, in the wake of an explosion in Sector I-10/4 early in the morning.

The administrative heads of hospitals have been directed to ensure the availability of all medical and paramedical staff in their respective hospitals around the clock. 

The directions have been issued to the heads of the Federal Government Polyclinic (FGPC), National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicines (NIRM), and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

Hospitals to keep emergency staff available

After the directions from the ministry, the administrations of all three hospitals immediately started taking special measures to keep the emergency high alert to deal with any untoward situation in the federal city.

Likewise, all ambulances and vehicles will be on standby in all the hospitals’ premises to deal with any emergency situation.

All the officials of the emergency departments will remain present in their respective shifts.
