Islamabad Reports 73 New Dengue Cases

ISLAMABAD: Dengue cases continue to rise in Islamabad, with the federal capital reporting 73 new cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad, as many as 73 dengue cases have been reported in Islamabad in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 3,242 for this period. Although seven people have lost their lives due to dengue in Islamabad, he added.

According to the figures provided by DHO Islamabad, 45 of the total 73 were reported in the rural areas of the capital while the remaining 28 were reported in rural areas.

The DHO further said that 46 patients were admitted to PIMS Hospital, Islamabad in the last 24 hours, 10 to Federal General Hospital and eight to Family Hospital.
