ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Murad Saeed has been charged in eight cases, revealed a police report submitted in Islamabad High Court on Thursday.

Murad Saeed had requested the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for details of cases registered against him. The federation, IG Islamabad, and DG FIA were made respondents to the plea. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said that they did not want Murad in any case when Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the matter. However, Islamabad police provided information on eight cases that had been filed against him.

The PTI leader is facing serious security threats from extremists in Swat, according to Sher Azal Marwat, the PTI leader’s lawyer, who stated during today’s hearing that the government had revoked his client’s security.

The Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) commented on how we might order the provision of security for Murad from Islamabad in Swat. He requested that his lawyer provide documentary evidence, and the court will investigate the matter. Islamabad Police had already raided the home of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed.

Murad had criticized the Capital police, claiming that after being released on bail in “fake cases,” police stormed his home while there were just ladies inside.
