Islamabad Police Register Case Against Person Domesticating Leopard

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have registered a case against the person who kept the leopard at the house that injured several people in a local housing society.

According to the police spokesman, an incident report has been filed at the Sihala police station against the unknown accused under Section 324/289 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Islamabad Police’s statement

An unknown person domesticated the leopard, and the accused endangered the lives of citizens by keeping dangerous animals. He also stated that the search for the accused is continuing and that legal action will be taken once he is identified by the police.

It is worth noting that a wild leopard entered the DHA Phase-II house. The residents of the area informed the relief organisation and wildlife about his presence in the area.

It took more than five hours for the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) and the Capital Development Authority to capture the leopard that had injured several people and terrified residents. According to preliminary reports, three people were injured during the incident that resulted in the capture of the wild cat, including two IWMB employees. — APP
