ISLAMABAD: The Superintendent of Police (SP) overseeing security in the High-Security Zone conducted a comprehensive evaluation of security protocols and safety measures within R-Block, S-Block, and the Pak-Secretariat.

During this evaluation, the High-Security Zone SP personally supervised security arrangements and engaged in discussions with the officers and personnel tasked with security responsibilities, as confirmed by a police spokesperson.

Furthermore, the SP issued a set of directives to bolster security measures within critical government facilities. A particular focus was placed on improving internal building systems and enhancing the functionality of CCTV control rooms.

The SP underlined the importance of maintaining meticulous records of citizens’ entries and exits and vigilant monitoring of access points. The proper installation and upkeep of security cameras and systems were emphasized as crucial aspects of their duties.

In a proactive effort to prevent unlawful activities, the SP guided police officers, urging them to exercise increased vigilance when encountering individuals who raise suspicions.

It was made clear that security measures would not be compromised, and all necessary resources would be dedicated to reinforcing security for key government institutions, especially given the prevailing circumstances.

The SP concluded by calling on all officers and personnel to uphold high alertness and professionalism in performing their duties. —APP
