ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of graduates of medicine, dentistry, nursing, and allied health sciences were conferred degrees at the Islamabad Medical and Dental College’s (IMDC) Convocation 2023 held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad.
A large number of pass-outs of IMDC attended the event alongside their parents and other family members.
Former Surgeon General and DGMS (IS) Lieutenant General Nigar Johar Khan attended the event as the chief guest.
Dr. Maqbool Hussain, Registrar of the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University and a number of other featured academic, intellectual, business, and social figures and media representatives also attended the event.
The principal, Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Ahmed, and managing director and chairman of IMDC, Dr. Ghulam Akbar Khan Niazi, welcomed the visitors and congratulated the graduates and their families.
The chief guest awarded medals to the top graduates and praised the IMDC for its efforts to provide high-quality medical education. She advised the pass-outs to keep the highest standards of professional ethics while working in the revered area of medicine.

Islamabad Medical and Dental College was established in the year 2007 and is affiliated with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, recognized by Pakistan Medical Commission and approved by the Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan. It is recognized for MBBS, BDS, Post RN-BSN, 4 Years BSN, DPT, BS-MLT and Post-graduate programs in six disciplines of Dentistry. The Department of Physiology is recognized for FCPS Part-II training by College of Physicians and Surgeons.
