ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed on a consensus draft of the Convention for the Avoidance of Double Taxation between the two countries.

The agreed consensus during a delegation level talks between the two sides at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) House, Islamabad o,n Friday. A press release issued by FBR said that the two sides thoroughly discussed all the outstanding problems identified during the second round of talks held in Islamabad in December 2021.
The FBR Chairman Asim Ahmad thanked the Afghan delegation for visiting Pakistan and hoped the Convention would further enhance economic relations between the two countries.
The Afghan side was headed by Nida Muhammad Seddiqi, Revenue Legal Services Director, while Sajidullah Siddiqui, Director General, Directorate General of International Tax Operations, FBR, headed the Pakistani delegation.
