ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court has summoned Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar for the third time regarding the case of missing Baloch students on Monday.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani emphasized that the premier should appear before the court, asserting that accountability applies to everyone.
Despite the court’s orders, PM Kakar owing to state matters couldn’t attend, prompting Justice Kayani’s frustration. Interior Secretary Aftab Durrani appeared later, but the absence of PM Kakar and others raised concerns.
The court’s insistence on physical appearance stems from the gravity of the issue.
Justice Kayani reiterated the necessity for PM Kakar’s personal appearance. Previous summons to PM Kakar in a similar case were unfulfilled due to his absence from the country.
However, the court remains firm in its stance, rejecting pleas for adjournment and underscoring the importance of timely and transparent proceedings.
