ISLAMABAD: A horrific fire engulfed over 300 shops in Islamabad’s H-9 sector while nine fire brigade vehicles and 60 firefighters were engaged in extinguishing the fire.
Firefighters from Rawalpindi were also called in after the incident. Rescue authorities said that initially, the fire broke out in landa bazaar section of the market. Assistant Commissioner Islamabad also reached the site to supervise the rescue operation.
Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa claimed that the fire has been completely extinguished.
