ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China agreed on Tuesday to further expedite the successful implementation of projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for the mutual benefit of the two sides.
According to a press statement by the ministry of finance, the two sides agreed during the meeting of Charge’d Affairs, Embassy of China, Pang Chunxue who called on Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
Progress of CPEC projects part of discussions
They also discussed the progress on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and vowed to further accelerate and enhance mutual support and cooperation.
In their meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on further deepening economic ties, the statement said. During the meeting, Ishaq Dar highlighted the long-term and deep-rooted brotherly and friendly relations between Pakistan and China and shared that Islamabad and Beijing had strong bilateral ties in a number of economic avenues.
He lauded the support of Chinese leadership to Pakistan in its odd times and shared various economic steps taken by the government of Pakistan to bring the economy on right path.
Pang Chunxue lauded the policy measures taken by the government for sustaining fiscal and monetary stability. Pang Chunxue shared goodwill gestures and assured the continuous support of Beijing to Islamabad, saying that China stands with the people of Pakistan willing to provide every possible help.
