ISLAMABAD: Microsoft has declared that it will no longer provide updates for Windows 10, with the current version, 22H2, serving as the operating system’s final release.

Although Windows 10 will be supported until 2025, users may not receive security updates after that date, leaving their systems vulnerable to potential threats.

However, Microsoft has stated that those who use the long-term servicing channel will continue to receive updates even after official support has ended.

Those who have yet to switch to Windows 11 should not be concerned because there will be no immediate impact on their regular use of Windows 10. While some may be disappointed by the lack of new features, Windows 10 remains a reliable operating system for basic computing tasks.

However, with the release of Windows 11 in 2021, Microsoft’s focus has shifted to this most recent operating system. Users are advised to upgrade in order to gain access to new features and security upgrades after 2025. As Microsoft says goodbye to Windows 10, users might reflect on the operating system’s impact over the past several years.

Windows 10 has been a reliable companion for many users since its release in 2015 and until its final update in 2021. Now, as technology advances, it is time to look toward the future with Windows 11.
