ISLAMABAD: With a 55,400 cusec inflow, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) released 98,500 cusecs of water on Saturday from several rim stations.
According to the statistics given by IRSA, the water level in River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1464.38 feet and was 66.38 feet higher than the dead level of 1,398 feet. Water intake and outflow in the dam were reported as 17,100 cusecs while outflow was 50,000 cusecs.
At Mangla Dam, the River Jhelum’s water level was 1113.85 feet, 63.85 feet above its dead level of 1,050 feet. Water flow rates of 16,800 cusecs for the inflow and 27,000 cusecs for the outflow were noted.
The release of water at Guddu, Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur was recorded at 30,400, 52,300, 40,900, and 6,300 cusecs, respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul, 13,800 cusecs of water were released at Nowshera, and 2,000 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala. APP
