IRSA Releases 94,000cfs Water

ISLAMABAD: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Thursday released 94,000 cusecs of water from various of its rim stations, with an inflow of 63,300 cusecs.

According to the statistics released by IRSA, River Indus’s water level at Tarbela Dam stood at 1518.87 feet, which was 120.87 feet above than the dead level of 1,398 feet.

Meanwhile, water inflow in the dam was recorded to be 26,700 cusecs, while outflow was 48,000 cusecs.

River Jhelum’s water level at Mangla Dam was estimated 1145.55 feet, which was 95.55 feet above than its dead level of 1,050 feet. Meanwhile, the inflow and outflow of water was measured to be 13,600 cusecs and 23,000 cusecs respectively.

Water release at stations in Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded to be 58,500, 39,100, 33,900 and 13,100 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, a total of 13,100 cusecs was released at Nowshera from River Kabul, and 3,800 cusecs  at Marala from River Chenab.
