IRSA Releases 179,300 Cusecs of Water from Rim Stations

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) reported releasing 179,300 cusecs of water from various rim stations, with an inflow of 155,000 cusecs. At Tarbela Dam, the water level reached 1,537.70 feet, which is 139.70 feet above its dead level of 1,398 feet, with inflows and outflows of 94,100 cusecs and 85,000 cusecs respectively.

Mangla Dam recorded a water level of 1,215.90 feet, 167.90 feet higher than its dead level, with inflow at 11,600 cusecs and outflow at 45,000 cusecs. Water releases at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur were 93,000, 85,300, 69,300, and 31,300 cusecs respectively. Additionally, River Kabul at Nowshera released 20,800 cusecs, and River Chenab at Marala released 3,700 cusecs.
