Ireland Set 194-run Target for Pakistan in Second T20I at Dublin

DUBLIN: Lorcan Tucker’s impressive half-century, followed by Gareth Delany’s late hitting propelled Ireland to 193-7 and set 194-run target for Pakistan in the second T20I of the three-match series here on Sunday.

After being put into bat first by Pakistan at the Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin, Ireland showcased a strong batting performance, reaching a total of 193/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Lorcan Tucker emerged as the standout performer for Ireland, anchoring the innings with a well-crafted half-century. His resilient batting laid the foundation for Ireland’s competitive total.

Gareth Delany’s aggressive batting towards the end of the innings further bolstered Ireland’s score, as he played some crucial shots.

Both teams made one change each to their playing XI for the match. For Ireland, Barry McCarthy replaced Graham Hume, while Pakistan brought back experienced pacer Mohammad Amir in place of Shadab Khan.

Pakistan’s bowlers faced a daunting task as they struggled to contain Ireland’s batsmen, with only Imad Wasim and Abbas Afridi managing to maintain some control over the run flow.
