TEHRAN: Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has stressed upon the need for serious action by Islamic world and international bodies, as well as the comprehensive support for the people of Gaza, Iranian state media reported on Sunday.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks during a meeting with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The Hamas leader presented a report on the latest developments in Gaza and the crimes of Israel, as well as the latest developments in the West Bank.
The Supreme Leader lauding the steadfast people of Gaza for their patience and resistance, strongly denounced the crimes committed by Israel with the direct support of the US and some Western countries.
Iran has permanent policy of supporting Palestinians: Supreme Leader
Ayatollah Khamenei added that Iran has a permanent policy of supporting the Palestinian Resistance forces against the Israeli occupiers.
Stressing the need for serious action by Islamic countries and international organizations, the Supreme Leader urged the comprehensive and practical support of Islamic countries for the people of Gaza.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during a speech in Tehran alleged that the United States was directing the relentless and brutal Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since October 7.

Khamenei criticized the US, stating that America was a definite accomplice of criminals and that the hands of Americans were stained with the blood of the oppressed Palestinians, including children, patients, and women in Gaza.
Over 9,400 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza since October 7, when Israel launched its daily bombardment of the densely populated enclave.
Israel has cut off fuel, water, food, and power supplies to the enclave, while airstrikes have targeted hospitals, ambulances, refugee camps, and schools.
