MOSCOW: Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday and extended his “full support” following the aborted mutiny of a mercenary chief according to the Kremlin.

According to the Kremlin, the Iranian president reaffirmed full support for Russian leadership in the aftermath of the June 24 events. According to the Kremlin, Putin also received a call from Qatar’s Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who also expressed his support.
