Iran’s senior military advisor was killed in Syria by a bomb.
A senior adviser to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been killed in Syria, the IRGC said in a statement on Wednesday.
Xinhua News reports that Davood Jafari, an air force officer of the IRGC, was killed on Tuesday by a missile fired near the Syrian capital Damascus, he said. The statement accused Israel of killing Jafari, saying that Israel must get answers for “the crime.”

Iran has agreed to the presence of its military advisers in Syria at the request of the Syrian government since 2011.
